First, try this quick fix:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On the <strong>Tools<\/strong> menu, select <strong>Options<\/strong>\u00a0 and then click on the <strong>Save<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n<li>If <strong>Allow fast saves <\/strong>has a checkmark, click the box to remove the checkmark and click <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Now save your\u00a0presentation under a new file name.\u00a0On the menu, select <strong>File &gt; Save As,<\/strong> type a new file name and click <strong>Save.<\/strong> This step alone may reduce the file size even more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>Allow fast saves<\/strong> option does allow you to save files faster as you work, but the tradeoff is a larger file size because PowerPoint appends new changes each time you save the file.
